Our mission is to encourage, strengthen and ignite artists who are so bravely in pursuit of their dreams. Committed to the spiritual, emotional, and physical health of all, we are a judgment-free, safe space for female-identifying and genderqueer creators to connect, explore, and share their art at every stage of creation. Sofia Belhouari, Co-Founder NYC WAC

Hello! My name is Sofia Belhouari and I am a NYC based Actor, Writer, Musician, & Model with a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance from The University of Oklahoma. You can find me in  InStyle Magazine's 2018 SWIM editorial where I speak on the importance of body positivity in the fashion industry. I am currently working on my children's book in which the main character learns to build self-esteem when faced with adversity and rejection.  I am extremely passionate about NYC WAC because I love creating my own content, and I wanted to create a community for which other creative identifying femmes could thrive on the support and resources of a unified community.  My goal is to create and support work that will enforce a positive social-political impact.
