Our mission is to encourage, strengthen and ignite artists who are so bravely in pursuit of their dreams. Committed to the spiritual, emotional, and physical health of all, we are a judgment-free, safe space for female-identifying and genderqueer creators to connect, explore, and share their art at every stage of creation. I'm the editor of the blog,"Philosofi" your online resource for fashion, beauty, creative living, and a gluten-free lifestyle.  Visit  @sofiabelhouari for daily updates!  I am extremely passionate about NYC WAC because I love creating my own content, and I wanted to create a community for which other creative identifying femmes could thrive on the support and resources of a unified community.  My goal is to create and support work that will enforce a positive social-political impact.

Sofia Belhouari

Co-Founder of WAC, Director of Special Projects, Design & Social Media Production, Communications, & Partnerships.

I am an Actress, Writer, and Visual Artist with an intense focus on creative expression. My theatrical emphasis is in original practice of Shakespearean text, ensemble tuning, and physical movement. As a writer, I explore freeform poetry and mystical fiction, as well as hand-binding and self-publishing. As a visual artist, I create with video, paint, and immersive large scale installation. You can find out more about me and my projects on my instagram, @calley_at and my website, calleyluman.com

Diversity and individual interpretations of material are most important to me in programming and curating art. Nourishing the creative voices of young people, especially femmes of color and LGBTQ+ folks, is something that I think is entirely paramount in the progression of society as a whole.

To me, nothing heals and communicates like boundary-defying art.
